GLOSSARY

PAR: Photosynthetic Active Radiation - How easily a light will stimulate growth

K: Kelvin - This is how our eye perceives the color of a light in either warmer (orange-ish) or cooler (blue-ish) colors. 

Lumens: This is how bright our eye perceives a light to be. 

CO2: - Carbon dioxide. It is one of the most important building blocks for our plants but is REALLY scarce underwater. So we inject it to keep our plants happy. 

BBA: Black beard algae - An algae that generally presents itself when CO2 levels are low. It will less commonly arise in areas of the tank with a really high concentration of CO2, or high flow area like around powerheads.
